Some of the posts on this topic have drawn attention to the fact that AMNAF (Asian Male Non-Asian Female) couples are rather uncommon in movies and the media in general. Which is a shame really.

Here's a few I can think of.

Han & Gisele in Fast Five (2011)

Anna & King Mongkut in Anna and the King (1999)

The Young Girl & The Chinaman in The Lover (1992)

Do you know any others?

In my humble opinion, The Lover is still the best AMNAF movie, even after all these years :silly:

Here are some other on-screen couples that I like (though I think the movies themselves suck big time  ).

BG (Rose Byrne) and JM (Rikiya Kurokawa) in "The Goddess of 1967" (2000)

Lynn (Sabine Timoteo) and Koji (Hiroki Mano) in "In den Tag hinein" (2001)

There was a recent show called "Selfie", but it got taken off air after six episodes. The remaining episodes, up to 13, were released for online and got a small fan base. It ended there. Not sure if it was poor writing or just poor rating. The show also featured other interracial couples from what I've read.

I loved this show! It was so good but they canceled it at the best scene. Every time I find a good show I like it always ends up being canceled randomly :( I think they were a good couple and it was the first time I've seen an asian male be a strong first male lead in a show here in America.

Did you watch the rest online? I didn't watch it, but yeah, good Asian male leads are rare.

I love Ramen Girl, inspirational and very funny. I miss Brittany so much, It's her last comedy film. Poor her, she could have been a good Harley Quinn. R.I.P

There's a good list here www.imdb.com/list/ls005535336/ but most films listed featured East Asian male- caucasian female, and a little extent to Indochina(former countries, ) males and some Non-asian females(probably war movies).

I will try to make a list of some movies I've watched with unusual couple of AMNAF(general).
