We kill and eat loads of different types of animals, pack them in cages, we eat their eggs, we wear leather on our clothing and feet and treat animals just as bad to get leather and wool.
So what's wrong in wearing their fur too?

The fur trade is very different. Animals like chinchillas, minks, and foxes are killed for nothing but their fur. So one can see it much more wasteful and inhumane. They are also kept in worse conditions because the livestock industry has much stricter animal welfare laws than the fur industry. Not to mention most animals killed for fur are predators, while animals killed for food are herbivores. Typically, predators are much more intelligent, and a more developed neurobiology means more capacity for suffering.
In the end, both are exploitive of animals but food is a necessity, while fur isnt. You can see why morally fur is worse than meat.

Meat isn't a necessity though. I'm pretty sure the human body doesn't need meat to function. We kill and eat the animals because they're tasty?
And the problem with leather is that it's often imported from countries where animal welfare is basically non existent:
Much of the leather purchased in the U.S. is imported from India and China, where conditions for animals are particularly cruel and the cows are so malnourished that they yield little if any meat. Old and sick cows are often forced to march long distances, then crammed tightly into illegal transport trucks that take them to the slaughterhouse. Upon arrival, handlers beat and torture weak and injured cows to force them to walk to the killing floor, then slit their throats while they are still fully conscious. Most clothing labels only specify where the product was finished, not where the leather came from, so if you purchase leather you may be supporting this extreme animal cruelty without even knowing it.

so i will never wear fur.....
The last time i was wearing something made of leather was at army....only because i didn't have choice....

I think it's wrong to kill innocent animals.....
The fact that they can't speak and defend themselves doesn't mean we as humans have the right to kill them....

The real problem lies in the industry that continues to exist due to the wants of a few, those who want to display ultimate wealth, serving no purpose but their vanity. The high demand of fur has lowered, but it continues to thrive, and this causes the unnecessary death of many animals.
This also leads to another issue, PETA, which I believe is a company with the right merits, with all the wrong delivery.

Personally, I wouldn't buy fur as I don't want to encourage the trade. I don't really eat fast food as I disagree with the conditions the animals are kept in, and I check all the companies I buy make up from to see whether they participate in animal testing (I avoid those that do). I try and make good choices in as far as not wasting lives for unnessicary reasons. But yet, I have leather shoes, and I do eat meat, though I strive to make sure it's always free range, I know that's not really enough.
It's tough when alternative choices are few and often not as competitive. But fur itself, personally, I see as a waste that can be easily avoided.
