German music

Assuming the world doesn't end, I really want to dive into learning a language seriously. Figured I'd start with German since I'm of German descent and have German relatives.

Anyway, can someone recommend me some german musical artists/bands to help with the process. Preferably something more along the lines of folk-indie (I'd like to actually be able to hear what they are saying).

I always recommend my friends who wanna learn german the following bands。 Their songs are mostly slow, but sound great. Furthermore their are using mostly very beautiful german words, a bit of poetic words sometimes, not to much though.

Caethe (maybe it's hard to understand her sometimes)

Don't listen to Xavier Naidoo, if you can understand German. The lyrics are gonna make you wanna throw up.

I'm sorry, I just hate him so much, I always say Diether Bohlen is more bearable. Just to make my point.
