I'm just going to throw some advices here and you can check whether it helps or not. I'm no expert but I believe it might be a problem with your web browser (e.g. Firefox, Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Safari, Opera, etc). Since I'm guessing majority of H-A users don't have this problem then the website itself cannot be blamed. I think both the computer (e.g. Dell, HP, Toshiba, Mac, and etc) and the web browser you're using are the main culprit to the issue. Try using a different version of the web browser or just try using a totally different one. if that doesn't work, maybe just reinstall the web browser but make sure you back up any data (e.g. bookmarks, passwords, etc) you saved to the web browser. I hope this helps.

If all else fails, it's probably a 'cat-hacking' problem or techies call it CHP attack, so you have to fix the 'problem' through conventional means. It might look something like this:

Normally, most users who have this specific problem just ignore the cat and starve it from any attention and it will leave your computer alone. I think at that point you can make connection request.

I checked for the cat-hacking problem and found a family of cats living inside my laptop! but sadly even after getting them out and tried using a different browser, the same problem exists.

I found that when I put the cursor on the 'request connection' link, it says 'javascript:void(0)', anyone got any idea about that?

its a void function problem(probably a mistake in coding by the developer) but since it doesn't happen to everyone, try doing this:

depending on the browser you are using:

if chrome/mozzila try enabling the javascript. and disabling your pop-up blocker. if nothing works then its the website developer's fault.

also if you have a web proxy disable it too.

ps: try using Internet Explorer if it works there too..but i doubt it.
