Has anyone encountered this error message when you PM and add someone?

SQL error when attempting to save a messageDB function failed with error number 1017

i just think the entire messaging system is down. i haven't tried to send any messages, but currently my inbox is totally erased/emptied when i didn't do anything to it. i also know i have messages that i have not read yet, but it says i have none.

We lost the main MyISAM file of the PM system (jos_uddeim.MYI). Kari is looking for it in a backup.
