A suggestion to reduce the amount of duplicated topics

There are a lot of topics on this forum that just gets reproduced under a different member. I'm not gonna go and look for it now but most long term members of this site can probably relate.

I propose that hey-ai implement a system where a member cannot create a topic until they have had a substantial number of posts in other people's topics. This, I believe, will substantially reduce the amount of topics that just get repeated and greatly frustrate a number of members on hey-ai. The number of posts required until a member is allowed to create his/her own topic is up to the moderators to decide.

I hope that my suggestion receives serious consideration by the admins and moderators of hey-ai, and please respond to me. It is perfectly respectable if the moderators of hey-ai do not agree with my solution; however, if the reason for the moderators to not agree with my suggestion is because they cannot see the problem themselves, then I suggest they all be fired and I can supply hey-ai with some monkeys to do the job for them.

This looks like a legit idea. +1 ~ though it might be sorta difficult to implement cause the site is a bit outdated in terms of functionality. The server needs an upgrade and the site could be improved with better coding. That requires both time and money... I'm not sure if anyone would be up for that.

I agree with you that many topics are repetitive and many of them needs a "revamp" on selection of words to avoid strong senses of bias lurking beneath the words (even if it's unintentional).

It's the easier and more effective solution to doing things. If that's what you say, then a lot of forums would be how you've described it to be cause many other forums do the exact same thing.
