FORUM: whole pages deleted ?

FORUM: whole pages deleted ? was created by JunJun.fr

Since yesterday, when I get in forum, some topics appears as if they were massively deleted.
Example with Random Thoughts:
Page 413 is empty...
/forum/9-general-discussion/250748-random-thoughts?start=4130#301299

On page #1, there seems to be no post between 7 months ago & 4 days ago...

/forum/9-general-discussion/250748-random-thoughts?limitstart=0

As I'm writing, latest posts are on page 6
/forum/9-general-discussion/250748-random-thoughts?start=50

Is it only for me or anyone else have same problem ?

it's not only you. i've noticed it as well. see, i was really active at the boards like 5-4 years ago, that's why i noticed my post-counter has shrunken down to like nearly 200, whereas it was about 400 yesterday. so you're right about older threads and posts geeting deleted somehow. goddamit, next up is me being a junior boarder again *haha*

Also getting a lot of SMTP errors. Maybe it has something to do with this random disappearance of older posts?

Ya, we purged all threads inactive for more than 730 days. Also, all deleted messages were purged.
And about random thoughts: people always complain about the site being very slow there. Hence, we shortened the thread by 3800 messages.

if you're gonna delete messages, might as well just delete every single page from page 2-3 and out. everyone always answers the same ones anyway, and you can be sure that someone is going to start a new thread about something old because they 'couldn't find the older one'

Don’t know what this error is about. We are currently having problems with qmail constantly being down and being have to be manually restarted. I set up a cronjob to automatically restart qmail every 6 hours for now; this at least makes it send out notifications up on new profile wall entries and personal messages. However, I am still trying to pinpoint the origin of the SMTP error in the forum.

I also realized if certain mods don't like your thread for whatever reason, it just disappears.
