New Chat Moderators

I really miss chat being active. Ever since the crash and moving servers of site chat has not been the same!

To my understanding old mods have been busy and unable to be as active as once were. Another reason being that if mods are able to idle in chat I think there would be an increase in users in chat, new and old. I notice sometimes people come into chat and leave instantly because no one is there. It is discouraging especially for new users who never knew chat was once alive!

Any thoughts?

First of all, I agree with you. We all miss chat being active and having the chance to meet people from all over the world. It was an easy way to break the ice among other users of Hey-ai.

I would also like to remind everyone that chat is open 24/7 now whereas before it was only open if a moderator was in the room. The administration team has decided that chat can be self moderated by the users. Users won't have the ability to ban someone but you are able to mute that person and block them from chatting with you. If problems persist contact a moderator to look into the issue.

Having said that, any ideas to get chat active again should be posted here. Would be great to catch up with everyone (new and old).
