i don't think I'd ever wanna chat in a group, but you do know that Google HangOuts and Skype have free group chat. Just make up a fake gmail address to get HangOuts. It'll ask for a phone # to verify, but no one excpet Google gets your phone #.
Not sure if Instagram has group chat, but it does have video. And you can send voice messages.
I think FB has video chat, too.
You don't have to do it here and wait.
I might be interested in a group chat for those of us over 30, but that might mean 2 or 3 females and 10+ guys.
if you use Firefox, get the "Messenger for Google HangOuts"...the green symbol with 3 dots...not the others. And you can use Walmart's or the public library's WiFi for free if you temporarily disable your data plan on your phone. You may need to adjust airplane mode, too...I forget.

Maybe wechat? The only downside is if you kick someone out, that person can always make another account and join back in. Unless the rule was only verified user can join. I think it’s an alternative from fb because Wechat doesn’t share too much personal information which suits some people.

I have tried to enter the small chat many times, however it does not let me in, So I omit it. I only speak with people here who have interacted and have written first conversations and deep and admirable conversations. Rarely, I usually add them to the few chat applications and talk by videoCam.
