I think you are the one of developer here if i'm not doing a mistake, I think as we know joomla is an open source and If you or other developers are good player with joomla it's not going to be a big task to do the changes.. Even too many free components on joomla.... You can add 3rd party tools too from other open source codes.... Yes you guys are spending a big amount on the server part !
But I think we can do well with low cost server too....
Urls need to be seo friendly use .htaccess
2nd i don't think joomla community builder has any problem with modification on the theme ....

Money is a big factor to keep this site afloat and we are grateful for every cent. But even if you currently can't afford to financially support HA, there are different ways how to acquire new users or in general help HA without spending money :
- write articles , tweets, or posts about HA in the social media
- become a chat-mod, forum-mod, or admin
- write reviews about HA on review sites
- write stories of HA couples or friendship and publish them. This will also help Search Engines show our Site to potential users
- or even small acts like giving a warm welcome to new members in the "introduce yourself" thread helps

I'm blocked wherever I go. At home, at a cafe, hotspots, all are blocked. They hate me for being too active.

I haven't left yet, silly. I'm considering on leaving though because having to mask my IP just to access this site is very bothersome. Blocked for my own safety? Maybe you're right. I've spent a little too much time here. Neglected my language, music, martial arts studies just to feel connected with the world. Where shall we have that first date? :lol: You're definitely an interesting character. I may write about a girl like you in my next story.

To upgrade this site's layout for free is as easy as reaching out to the community here on HAI. I'm sure there are members who wouldn't mind to assist.

The layout does look better, however, the color scheme seems dated. An improvement for the desktop version, but what about the mobile version of the site? Hey-Ai logo could use a facelift too. I could easily create one, but I'm not putting in work. They got my IP blocked for some reason. Glad someone who isn't took initiative. Try pastel or pantone colors with a slight gradient.

Just for an a idea I did those things yes i used old days color combinations because this website is very old.... yes logo can be bit good too... Yes admin can make a app by using "Android Studio" or do the changes on css media queries
