I would honestly prefer someone my height or taller(I'm 5'9). But I would date someone shorter for sure. If I really liked his personality and was attracted to him otherwise I actually wouldn't care how tall (or short) he was. I would probably feel quite self conscious if I was huge next to him. But to me personality is the most important part. Being short doesn't equal being unattractive or undesirable to me.

A guy's perspective;

I don't think height should be an issue.
I would date a girl that is taller than me.

By the way, I'm 5'10" (180cm).

Besides, I actually think it's a pretty cute sight to see a taller girl dating a shorter guy.

I'm taller then my boyfriend...I'm 5'9", he is 5'7"....I don't see much of a difference but he does...He calls me an Amazonian Giant Women! lolz~

Well I'm 175cm and every guy I have dated (Asian and Non-Asian) has been my height or taller. I Would date a guy Shorter then me (170cm being the cut off) If we connect on a deeper level.

My so called boyfriend right now is Korean and he is 182cm. Which is kinda what I prefer...

for me there would be no problem to date shorter guy, to be true it would be difficult for me to find a taller guy (especially asian) cause im 190cm and i love to wear heels (not everyday, but sometimes its great)

I'm 170 and never dated a guy shorter than me before. Even if the almond eyed prince charming of my dreams is taller than me of around 5-10cm, i think it wouldn't be that big deal if he was shorter. And I would wear high heels. LOL

Have you thought that those guys who turned you down just have their own preferences? Just because they happened to turn you down because you don't fit their female type preference, doesn't mean they did it automatically out of "insecurity". It's just their preference. Some guys are gonna like you, some won't. It's normal, and it has nothing to do with confidence level.
