I'm gonna move from Brisbane/Australia to Oklahoma City/USA

any pointers ? i've lived in Marshalltown Iowa for some time & i guess Oklahoma is pretty much the same as any small city in the US ?

OKC is actually the biggest city in this state. I've only been there a couple of times, but I hear it's a good city and a lot of people are there. I'm pretty sure those who say this have never been anywhere else in the US and don't know what a real city looks like.

I can say that OKC is much busier than the rest of the state. There is a lot more to do there than anywhere else in the state, unless you enjoy cow tipping and fishin on the lake and hunting.

It's really no different than Iowa. A friend of mine moved out there a few years ago. Just as small and quiet. Either way, hope you don't get too bored...lol.

Oklahoma City is not Smalltown, USA in terms of size. I cannot speak for the mindset of the people, though. Every city and every state feels different to me.

Unfortunately the plan to relocate fell through...i'm still in Australia..but not in Brissy anymore..lol..just moved to Perth ( Western Australia ) like a few weeks ago. Likin it so far but again, caucasian women here dont date asian men...which sucks..
Maybe should've took the job in OKC...damn..Anyways, appreciate the comments & all.

Well, Okllohoma city is definitely larger than any city in Australia. It can get pretty bored living in Down under after sometimes lol. That is why I am kinda considering moving over to California or Canada instead.
