Sydney Meetups 2015

We're doing Vivid this Saturday with over 12 people subscribed from the two groups involved. Meet up outside City Extra at Circular Quay this Saturday at 7pm with no extra charges. (I will have eaten dinner beforehand)

Also we are looking for new admins at a cost of US$110 every 6 months. If you are willing to set your own events to a ready audience of almost 500 people, talk to Charlie who currently runs this group

The next two weeks sees some really good social meetups (which are combined).

2. Wed 8/7 7pm - Watching the State of Origin Decider at Oatley Hotel. We will meet in the main room for dinner, maybe pool, then the game with a semi-large table already booked. Go the blues! No additional meetup cost as it's in the middle of the week. www.meetup.com/Sydne...ents/223373861/

Time for another big dinner and drinks night, this Friday night from 6pm til late at the Belvedere Hotel, Town Hall. This is on the corner of Kent and Bathurst Streets and is a 2min walk down from Town Hall Station. We'll be meeting at the top floor around the long tables.

It's a combined meetup and we're going to get approximately 30 people. So come and bring your friends!

The aforementioned dinner and drinks went off with 31 people attending, and quite a few from the AMWF/AMXF community!

The next big event is the Cherry Blossom Festival @ the Auburn Botanic Gardens. We'll do it this Saturday 22nd August at 1.30pm (wait outside the front ticket booth area from 1.15pm-1.30pm). For 2 weekends in late August the council really go all out with cherry blossom trees, musical performances, food stalls which sell snacks, as well as the usual beautiful Japanese Garden.

The tickets to go in can be purchased at the entrance booth for $5 (or free if you're an Auburn council resident). Additionally, this is a $5 meetup if you're a first timer to Arthur's meetups and $2 if you have been to cover for the costs of meetup.

We have another combined dinner & drinks night to celebrate the long weekend (and my birthday).

Our big dinner and drinks between several meetup groups typically get over 20 people, and the last few got around 30 on average. With 23 projected signed up as at the time of typing this, it will be a fantastic group of people . An optional donation is encouraged to help keep the meetup groups running.

Time: Friday 2nd October, 6pm until 10.30pm at least.

Location: Verandah Bar on 55 Elizabeth Street. It is near Martin Place and St James railway stations and is well serviced by buses too ( www.google.com/maps/...51.2097815,15z/ ). We will be on one of the long tables in front of the big screen. The table will be marked 'ARTHUR'.

When will be the next meet up:O just moved down to sydney hoping to make friends

Hey mate, Aussie there holds a few meet ups you might be keen on. Now and again some other members hold meet ups too. A few members have befriended each other and meet up for catch ups eg, when I say travel to Melbourne for work I might have a beer or 2 and dinner with some of the guys etc. Keep your eyes peeled for them, and if you're motivated enough perhaps you can start one and see how much traction it builds! Most folk here are usually keen to catch up pending on schedule and convenience... but you never know!

We're taking the back right corner around row V so I strongly encourage prebuying your tickets if keen. Before that we'll meet just outside the box office area at 7.30pm.
