Yes, shame that the queue was long and there was a low turnout.

Although Cargo is a really funky club, perhaps somewhere closer to the west end would be a more accessible option for all.

How about a light picnic in St. James' park (by Trafalgar Sq), and/or dinner in Chinatown? Then people can move on to their place(s) of choice later depending on turnout, group music/venue preferences.

Anyway, it was a fun night and it was nice to meet the hey-ai'ers last night! Till next time!

It was good meeting those of you who turned up. Sorry I had to leave early and took some people away. Hope all was fun afterwards too. Yes would be up for another meetup though not many girls showed up this time!

Well done to Lawrence for making this happen.

what matters is.....it happened & that some people actually DID turn up. hats off to lawrence for picking up the slack & seeing it through to the end much respect due to the dude

next time it should be more relaxed & casual. i did originally suggest a dinner, something light, perhaps a jazz club or wine bar/open air place. that way you get to sit & talk to the person & really get to see them for themselves, instead of being nervous & overly worried in a bar/club done up like a dogs dinner!

but i'm actually surprised by how few gals turned up!!!! come on ladies.....dissapointing for the guys & it doesn't exactly do their confidence any good either if we're too shy to show or can't be bothered.

and YES.....I KNOW....i didn't turn up........but i have LEGIT reasons (that now make me hate london transport even more).

but west isn't so bad, and there's lots of little places to discover there. for me.....it was hard as i was staying in kensington high street, so i had ALLLLLLL that way to go.

perhaps meeting in the middle next time? possibly something mid/late week? nothing too 'banging' or heavy? and establish where people travelling in are staying so it's easier for them too, and if more than one person, share a hostel & get a cheaper bed for the night? that way you all know where you're going & can share cab costs

barbican is a good area, china town is a given, picadilly circus as well, some nice places along the thames too, bayswater is buzzing too & right next to hyde park with loads of places to eat from cheap to high-end, or possibly somewhere near southbank and mingle in amongst the free events there......or perhaps a meal & something to do like.....snooker/pool hall.....bowling....arcades.....??????......something that's FUN & we can laugh & relax with. you'd be surprised how much you relax when behaving like a big kid.

even if it's a small meetup of a handful of people, when they have the time for dinner or something......

i'm not asking everyone to become best buds & swap blood .......we should TALK to eachother & not be afraid to say "hey, i fancy dinner next week, how do u fancy joining me? or meet for a coffee?"

ok thats took me quite long time to read but im very happy and up for anything. i did turned up and was so unconfortable as i was the only girl for 30mn maybe more XD

im sure next time will be much better even thou it was nice already
