First of all, the good news:
Do any of you know who Will Yun Lee and Camilla Belle are? I just found out they're going to be in a AM/WF movie called BANGKOK LOVE STORY.
Here's the beautiful Camilla Belle and here's the IMDB page for their AM/WF Movie
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1964529/
I hope they make a good one because IMO the definitive AM/WF movie is still yet to be made.
Now here's a brief review of some AM/WF movies I saw in the time since I last posted:
SHANGHAI KISS: Grade: B
I thought the movie was written well and the main actor Ken Leung is a good actor, but I he's not much to look at, sorry. He and Hayden Panettiere did have nice chemistry though. I hated that Kelly Hu (Who??) though. She cannot act and her scenes made this more of a AM/AF movie.
By the way, there's an episode of the TV show "Malcolm in the Middle" that has Hayden kissing a really hot looking Asian-American guy in it who goes on to make out with her then beat up a racist white guy. The episode is called "Jessica Stays Over" in season 5.
I found some screenshots she looks really into it:

SISTERHOOD OF THE TRAVELING PANTS 2: Grade: B
I only saw this for the AMWF storyline between Leo Nam and Amber Tamblyn. That Leo is ripped! He looks very hot with all his muscles and abs. He should be doing more movies like this.

THE LOVER: Grade: B+
I heard this had hot lovemaking scenes and it does. This one was recommended by Monica here on Hey-Ai and it was hot. There should be more AM/WF movies like this. I just wish the actress looked more White and less Asian (Jane March is half-Asian or something).
Trivia: Did you guys know that Milla Jovavich auditioned for this role and wanted it bad but the director chose Jane March because he thought she looked like the author of the novel this movie is based on? Learn something interesting everyday... I think it would have been great if Milla was cast as the lead instead. She dated a Vietnamese guy before and a Japanese guy too, so she probably really is into Asian guys in real life before she married her current hubby who keeps putting her in all those Resident Evil movies.
THE RAMEN GIRL: Grade: A
I have to admit I really liked this movie. It's sweet and Britney Murphy has good chemistry int he AM/WF love story parts. She left us all too soon.
THE WARRIOR'S WAY: Grade: D
What a waste of talent involved... Plus, the Asian guy was hot, but his kiss with Kate was too short and no chemistry invovled. Bleh.
NEVER FOREVER: Grade: C
I guess this was supposed to be one of those art films or whatever, but Vera Farmiga's sex scenes with the hot Korean guy lacked passion. Even near the end when it was supposed to be more passionate, it lacked chemistry in my opinion. Could have been so much better, it had potential to be the definitive AM/WF movie but failed. Vera Farmiga's hair is usually great, but her hair in this movie is ugly too. And the ending makes no sense. Come to think of it, the plot makes no sense either

What a waste of potential. Disappointing.
I found all these movies on Amazon.com so if any of you are interested, you can find them all there.
On a similar note, also on Amazon and also on recommendation from Monica, I was looking for some AM/WF novels and she recommended me these:
- The Words of the Pitcher by Kei Swanson
- Lost in Translation by Nicole Mones
- The Last Chinese Chef by Nicole Mones
- The Ginger Tree by Oswald Wynd
While searching in their books, I came across this gem and I want to share it with you all:
RICE ON WHITE: AM/WF EROTIC TALES OF FORBIDDEN ADDICTIONS: Grade: A+
http://www.amazon.com/RICE-WHITE-Forbidden-Addiction-ebook/dp/B006QXO92U/
THIS is what I want more of. I just hope some Asian-American film director like a Justin Lin or someone with talent for movies can hopefully make a movie like this or adapt some of the stories in this book on camera.
You need a Kindle to read it, but if you have an iPhone or iPad, you can just download the free Kindle app and read it that way too. I bought a copy after hearing about it on Facebook and I love it. Definitely check it out, very very sensual reading.

OK, that's my report on the current state of AM/WF in the media for now folks!

Basic plot of te seres is an american songwriter comes back home after many years failing to get his name out, only to find his white mumhas remmarried to a chinese guy. The story (I presum) is about the strggles between him andthe family being whie/asian.
Its not realllly about the AMWF relationship, but it still looks really interesting. Here is the Trailer:

Oh god!

But yeah, Shanghai Kiss is a must see! Funny shit! Although, I wish they made Hayden's character just a few years older than 16!!!
