i say theyre all good so no need to put them against each other...they all have their own good and bad points...

The only reason you find Jpop cute is because you haven't seen the right ones or you only saw the ones targeted at otakus. Jpop has much more diversities when it comes to music genres and styles and has always been the pioneer in music scene in Asia.

That being said, since I grew up with Jpop, I'm already indifferent to it, haha. I'm a rock, metal fan after all~~~ but now when it comes to pop music, I prefer european pop music~~~ especially russian/ukrainian pop music~~~

I like Jrock & Jmetal...just not Jpop :/ to cute for my taste

I wish I could like C-pop more, but my favourite ist K-Pop... There is just something missing in C-pop.
And Korean is a very nice language, even if I'm not interested in Korea in general (except music and fashion).
I know some great Japanese songs, but most J-Pop stuff is too boring in my opinion. Singers like Miliyah Kato and Kumi Koda are awesome tho.
