I have yet to watch the 7th season and anime.

I hear mix things about the two.

Otherwise I definitely love and enjoy this show immensely.

The comics are great! I love the art style too (which is impressive because a lot of comic book art doesn't sit well with me) so if you get the chance to read them you totally should!
If you like books you should read the novels as well. As far as I know you can find them as eBooks on all the major e-Readers if you can't find the paper copy anywhere.
