for instance canto say cha, we say cha for tea.
i used to live in hong kong, forgot most of the language though, but there were a lot of similarities.. my father speak fluent, and there are a lot of vietnamese/chinese origin of china they speak canto and viet, very easy for them to learn.

Yeah thanks to the French we accepted the latin alphabet. But before that we used to use kenji as our writing... I am trying to say that Vietnamese and Chinese are the same, we are just as different from them as they are to Japanese and Koreans. ... You know in a lot of VPOP videos non asian people comment them to sound KOREAN or KPOP...

If i was to listen to swedish music, i would comment it sounds like danish/norwegian. doesn't mean it's the same. and the language difference between us and chinese are much bigger than swedish/danish/norwegian.
