Metal is tricky because there are a lot of metal acts -- thrash or otherwise -- that change up their style and their sound and in the process usually tend to alienate many of their fans but the opposite could sometimes happen as well and, in changing their sound, gain even more fans and respect and even populaity. A prime negative example of this would be Metallica, and a great positive example would be Pantera. A lot of metalheads I know dislike the Black Album by Metallica and everything they made after. Usually, bands like Slayer -- who have not changed much -- fair the best. Look at Megadeth, they haven't changed their sound much. But look at Sepultura, they've changed a whole helluva lot since the days of Arise and Beneath the Remains. Metal is usually about persistence, and sticking to your guns, and not changing with the times. Look at Judas Priest. But metal can be tricky.

DUDEEEE it's maiden mannn, c mon, i mean they're from 75 and they are about 55 ish, but they are waaaaaaayyyy more badass than crappy metalcore bands not hating metalcore bands becoz bruce's son is in rise to remain, plus RTR kicks ass, but dudeee maiden became an inspiration for metallica, tom morello, slayer, and many more, if metallica is the sign for world's metal then if metallica loves maiden so much than what is maiden then, DUDEEEE their singer is a pilot, fencer, loving man to his wife, a father, not a drug addict, not a sex addict.just fucking awesome, and their stages were way more better-lars ulrich, and i can't wait until i see steve harris puts his leg up the monitor and aims the bass at me-tom morello, and many endless quotes, even kerry king's face shined like a kid going to a toy shop for the first time when he met maiden in person, can you imagine, the scary kerry king, his face was shining in happiness, c'mon what's more awesome than that, and what bruce dickinson has a golden voice that doesn't wear out they are not out of tuned when bruce is singing, the band has 3 guitars to do 3rd note harmony and octaves, and what more they are the first band that has got a mascot, EDDIE, the symbol of heavy metal, so if there are any haters out there, FCK you MAIDEN FOR LIFE
