What do you guys think of the controversy of the Cloud Atlas movie?

Agreed. The visuals/SFX were well done tho.

Come to think of it I didn't follow it much at all. But hey, it looked great!

You're right about the characters being a little off, but not only the appearance, the non asian actors in yellowface as asian men were as usual unflattering because they were also speaking with fake asian accents and it implies asians particularly asian men are foreigners, fob (fresh off the boat). I don't know if anyone watches 2 broke girls show but the asian guy in the show is not only unattractive but he speaks with a fake asian accent.

Actors normally fake different regional accents depending on various roles. I don't think it should be suddenly out-of-bounds if it's down to race.

Yes I agree with that however, whenever there is an asian person on screen, there's always an specific asian reasoning. There are exceptions but they are very very few.

That's true, the accent did bug me quite a bit, but I think he had an accent because they were in Korea.

Why didn't they speak Hangul with English subs then if they were in Neo Seoul?
