"The Wailing," from South Korea. It's not your typical jump scare horror films. It's more of a mystery and psychological as well. One of the best horror films ever made in human history.

I have seen uncountable horror movies but I'll name a few of the best I saw from 2018: annihilation, hereditary, Halloween And the cloverfield Paradox but I know of any year and style

Hereditary has been my favorite so far. I could watch that time and time again.
But my all time favourite horror franchise is Hellraiser, every damn time~ Huge Clive Barker fan!

Any the Descent (2005) fans here? The Descent is a 2005 British adventure horror film written and directed by Neil Marshall. The film follows six women who, having entered a cave system, struggle to survive against the humanoid creatures inside.

Last one i seen was some years ago..I found it a bit demented and disturbing..But most Horror films are meant to play on the psychological aspect and are of course supposed to spark a reaction..
