But I've got lots of experience with (traditional) drawing/painting. So, that helped me a lot to teach myself how to draw digitally.
But I guess, watching tutorials reading books wouldn't hurt.

Nope. Because the app I'm using is not very popular. There exist reviews about the app but no tutorial nor books. At least not that I'm aware of. So, yeah, for me it was learning by doing.Brunken wrote:

You should try exploring Youtube
Im self-studying digital arts by watching free youtube tutorials and reading some art related articles. Most of the softwares are not free like Photoshop but there are open source alternatives like Krita, GIMP, Alkemy, Blender etc...etc.
