I think Japanese video which Arduina posted is a scene where this man was basically having his way with her. It looked like she like him and want to kiss him but at same time, she is struggling because she doesn't know whether she should do this. I was watching this Korean TV show where foreign women were talking about their experiences in South Korea with culture, men and women. One episode, they were talking about their experiences of kissing Korean men.

They all basically said that Korean men makes tender kiss. One woman from New Zealand actually said, "Kissing a Korean guy is like kissing a another woman." But they compared Korean men with Western men and generally said that while Western men kisses women with this domineering demeanor, Korean men kisses women with demeanor of "respecting women." But I also think guys generally act differently with women of different races or nationalities.

While there may be an exception based upon situation, but I generally provide more of tender kiss for women. Part of it is because I grew up in the U.S. with this stereotype that Asian men are "barbaric" who "lack romance" and "don't know how to treat women like women." My life-time experiences with romance and dating in this country was pretty much struggle against such stereotype. In back of my mind for some reason, I feel American women will respond, "In this country, you don't kiss women like that! This isn't Korea!" if I don't give them tender kisses.

they also say that koreans beat up their wifes. So you just can't generalise in no way.

Well.... I thought so too. But I know a lot of German guys which doesn't want to kiss like this. (or they can't kiss like this :/ )

Well, they CAN "generalize" like that because they were speaking it in "general context." The show program was all about those women's EXPERIENCES in South Korea, and they were also making comparison with EXPERIENCES of other women in that show. While we may(or we SHOULD) accept that there are exception to everything, that TV show did provided consistent perspective among ladies in that show when it comes to how Korean men kisses versus other issues in South Korea that may shown inconsistency among women in that show.

And as far as Korean men beating their wives, while there are exception and that there are more Korean men who don't beat their wives versus those who do, it IS very common in South Korea where wives get abused by their husbands. And this has been well documented that this is so not simply because of individualistic issues or because "Korean men are emotional"(as some will defend), but it's more systemic that is unique to South Korean society where Korean men's duty to serve army and "protect the fatherland" is expected while strict obedience, authoritarianism and physical disciplines are justified under such institution.
Studies DO show that Korean men's domestic violence against their wives have very strong militaristic characters and similarities to physical disciplines that are being practiced in South Korean army. And also, these, that is authoritarian practice of physical disciplines are also shown in other institutions such as schools and jobs as well. South Korean critics calls this "militarist culture."

The amount of exception must be accepted while proper context needs to be added. But I think we should also avoid this habit of denying everything simply because one claim it's "generalization."
