Anyone playing MTG online ? was created by Thickeyebrows
I'm pretty bored lately and looking really hard for a game to kill my free time after work etc. so I tried to get back to Magic the Gathering but it's been too long for me to remeber anything (12 years roughly) I paid the activation fee but left it at that since I was overwhelmed and didn't know what and where to start, I was wondering if any of you guys are playing it ? would love to get some advices !

P.S. or if you have any other suggestion for trading card or tower defense type of game, feel free to reply, would be highly appreciated :)

Well I never played it online, but I started playing Magic the Gathering last summer. How is it any different from the regular card format? The only formats I know of are Standard and Modern, the rest are just too new to me. The only good advice I can think of for Magic is start out with a deck that has low converted mana cost before moving on to the harder stuff, and it's easier to stick with theme for you deck ( control, aggro, scavenge, infect, etc). The basics as usual would be have enough lands (not too little or too much, 23 - 24 is ideal for most, but it depends on the deck you're building)

Other trading card or tower defense games I can think of could include League of Legends, DOTA, Smite, Yugioh, or Hearthstone.

Hey bro thanks for the reply !

I believe there's nothing different between on and offline, it's just it's easier to find someone to play with without actually going out to the store.

Other than Standard and Modern, there're Open which i believe is a format where you can use any card from any era/edition which makes it a little hard to follow due to amount of card selections available but it does make a lot interesting deck to watch.

Then there's Seal Draft where you pick one card out of a booster then pass along to other players until a booster run out of cards then open a new one, rinse and repeat until everyone could make a complete deck. This format is pretty fun to play and pretty popular.

Thanks for your advices though but you're probably misunderstood between TD and MOBA games but it's understandable lol since LoL and DotA are basically Tower Defense game in a way.

I downloaded MTG 2015 on my phone the other day. Haven't played it yet. Shit, I haven't played in damn near 20 years. I used to have some decent cards irl some rare Legendary Creatures and shit. Sadly, I gave them away to a buddy of mine a few years ago. Would like to get back into playing.

Thanks for the advice, you have a good eye for someone who doesn't play video game :) this game is pretty popular though I never played it but I know a lot of people do.

long time magic fan since the 1990's. Ive always been dissatisfied with the digital magic series tbh, especially with the planeswalker series

ive recently been playing Infinity Wars and I must say it is the most compelling digital card game ive ever played
