Hello members.
My name is Conan, and last time, I did a retro review of Korean music from 1990s to 2000s.

This time, I would like to introduce some great world music that not many people know but too good to just pass by.

So, let's begin a little journey!

1. M2M (Norway)
My favourite band from Norge(Norway)!. They are two girls from Norway who used to be really popular in Korea about 10 to 12 years ago. I believe that they don't make music anymore, but they are very talented Norwegian girls who know how to play acoustic guitars.

- Don't say you love me -
I found this music when I watched "Pokemon: the first movie" about 12 years ago.

I was really hooked with the acoustic sounds of the song, and I fell in love with the voices of these two Norsk ladies. I still have this song in my mp3 player.

2. Lina (Philippines)
This female singer from Philippines has a beautiful soulful voice that captured many in the country with her emotions when she sang. Here is one of her songs that I really like.

- Someday -

3. Christian Bautista (Philippines)
He is one great artist that I encountered during my time in Philippines, when I was studying English there. I came across his music when I was listening to a local radio, and he captured my ears instantly.
Here is the one of his songs that I really enjoyed.

- Color Everywhere -

4. The Gospellers (Japan)
A Japanese a group that creates some emotional and soulful a cappella music. This is one piece of their work that I like, due to so much emotions that the song has.

- Towani (meaning forever)

5. Nylon Beat (Finland)

I am always amazed how these talented ladies from Finland(Suomi), were able to create an innovative piece of music that people can listen to over decades. Actually they were already very famous in Korea, as their cover song by S.E.S, "dreams come true" was a huge hit in Korea back in 90's. (They didn't copy the song, so there is no copyright issue invovled). Here is the link to the new world!

- Like a Fool -

I hope that you enjoy my selection.
Next time, I'll be back with more review on retro Korean music.
Thanks for reading and listening!

1. Warlock(Germany)

This is German heavy metal band from the 80's. This is beautiful ballad sang in German, titled "Fur Immer," which means "Forever" in English.

2. I Santo California(Italy)

This is old Italian pop song. I remember listening to it as a kid when I was growing up in South Korea.(I've heard lots of European pop music then) I love the Italian narration in the middle. This song is titled "Tornero."

3. Nightwish(Finland)

This is Finnish metal band who is still around. This is another lovely ballad with beautiful soprano vocal, titled "Kuolema Tekee Taiteilijan." It means "Death Makes an Artist" in Finnish.

4. Thin Lizzy(Ireland)

This is legendary Irish rock band who was active during the 70's. They are still around without their original frontman who passed away. This song is actually Irish folk song that was transcribed into rock version. This song is called "Whisky in the Jar."
