I think this guy is a joke. His seminars are a joke. Especially when it comes to weapon combat. Doing a bunch of crap that isn't applicable.

I'm unsure about him. Someone posted these videos to our JKD group and my first impression was "not impressed". But a thing to keep in mind is that much percentage of drills are "self perfecting" drills, in that the drills themselves would not be what you do in a real fight, but it's meant to train your reaction and reflex. For example the Kali sumbrada drill is very unrealistic in terms of actual fighting moves, but it trains the subconscious reactions as well as body mechanics. Majority of Wing Chun drills look like patty cake as well.

I couldn't tell from those videos if he's actually good or is just for show. He seems to be quick at least.

I mean I definitely like the concept. It makes very good sense on paper. Learning how the body flows so that you can react fluently and do the most damage in the least amount of time. I think this kind of style would just buy you enough time to hit and run away. I guess what annoys me is that the dummies he uses aren't really putting much effort into it. They just fall after a little tap.
