I love Frank Sinatra and Nat King Cole mostly, and I sing along. I used to love this type of music when I was studying.

I learned about Louis Armstrong in school, others I do not remember, after time I picked up other Jazz singers.

Any other Jazz lovers like me? Some you learned in school or any that you listen to now? Do you want to dance, sing along or do your homework listening to it?

I wouldn't call myself a jazz lover but I do enjoy listening to Miles Davis and Dave Brubeck sometimes late at night :)

Count me in!

What a great idea to create this forum! I like when Wynton Marsalis says that jazz real power is that 'a group of people can come together and create art, improvise art, negotiate their agendas...'

I have many jazz pieces I love...so I find it hard to choose where to start. However there is one fragment of the film "New Orleans" that features two giants: Louis Armstrong and Billie Holiday. The fragment is called "Farewell to Storyville" and it shows how everybody is forced to abandon the place they learnt to call a home.

Arashino saxophone/2/4/5 from a character in Kof.

Those are some of the songs in Jazz style that I like all time, and I was trying to play them in bass line, but for my experience now to pick up all the notes by hearing is still pretty challenging to me. If anyone here happens to be a pro bass player,I would like to take some advice on how to play those tricky songs
