Any Song Writer or Composer?

There is a large amount of people playing instruments here so I wonder, if anyone writes or composes songs? If you occasionally cover songs, that counts too. I would also like to know you and hear your stories.

I have been playing piano since seven but I always hate taking lessons. Maybe I was rebellious, at age 14, I literally destroyed my piano and swore I would never touch it again. Now, in my mid twenties, I have missed playing it so much and decided to pick it up again. I can't read notes because I am just bad at it. But, thanks to good understanding and hearing, I can improvise and cover any song I want. Today I enjoy spending time writing songs and thinking about lyrics. Next year, I decide to collaborate with my friends working at filming and game developing industry to come up with some films and games featuring my music. I am very excited about my music future. What is your story? I would like to know all the happiness and struggles that you come across while defining your own musics.
