haha well compared with the old times, wrestling isnt what it was 15 years before. But i watched it almost the past 4 years and im impressed, how the wrestler changed. They have more athletic wrestler now, instead of brutal muscular.
Im also looking forward for the split of Raw and Smackdown (finally!)
WWE has many good wrestlers so im looking forward for the next time :)

I think athletic wrestlers have been in the WWE for a long time now. Shawn Michaels (my fave of all time) and Bret Hart changed the whole scene back in the 90's. From then on, people started to believe that you didn't need to have the size of Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant to win the world title. After Bret and Shawn, you had guys like Rey Mysterio, Edge, The Rock (when he was smaller) all being champs.

I prefer to watch HBK anyday of the week compared to guys like Hogan, Brock or Cena. It's not just about being buff and blodyslamming a 500 pound opponent, it's the ability to tell a story in the ring which keeps the audience entertained.

I begin to believe gambling is art now.in some logic, arguing and being cranky is also an art.

well the old days were much much better. i followed wrestling since the wcw and wwf era. guys like bret hart, sting, diesel aka kevin nash, razor ramon, shawn michaels, sid justice or goldberg ruled the ring. and when wcw was done there was the wwf. until today most people say including myself that the so called attitude era was the best era before they change to the pg era. since they change from wwf to wwe they make wrestling more friendly for kids. which means you will not see lots of blood or curse in that promotion. some do like it some do not. personally i do not like the wwe today because it changed more in negative way instead of positive. obviously there is lots of politics, favouritism etc. the wwe screw their whole talent roster for years. talents who deserved title shots didnt get some. and since triple h became the coo of the company he use his power to crown himself as champion instead of step back and gave the spotlight to other talents.

WWE creative doesn't care (has never really cared) about in-ring ability if you have the right look sadly (look at Roman Reigns and the Ultimate Warrior and Hulk Hogan, even though he at least at crazy charisma).

For those who don't like wrestling, I get it...yeah it's fake--it is sports entertainment. But you can go to the circus or Cirque de Soleil or a ballet and still admire the physicality and the "art" of it. And if you watch wrestling enough, it is easy enough to tell the wrestlers with ability and without ability--the ability to tell a complete story in a 20-minute match with twists and climaxes often which are completely improvised, while taking bumps that would have me lying in bed for a week.

But watch a Shinsuke Nakamura match. Him vs. Sami Zayn was the kind of stuff that had me standing up and cheering.

I think it is going to be more than a year before this guy is brought up to the main roster.

I kind of remember the old WWF cartoon. I didn't start watching WWF until the end of the 80's/early 90's.
WWF Superstars/Wrestling Challenge.

Tiger, the WWF's attitude era was probably needed to fight WCW's war against WWF but now not so much. It has always been family friendly. Hulk Hogan's say your prayers and eat your vitamins and etc.

@Tiger: I didnt grew up with but i also saw in the past 5 years the most of the "old Stuff" and Im also a big Fan of the Attitude Era. If you compare it with the Things U saw at WWE in the past years, its pretty sad. I miss the blood, and some stuff thats not there anymore.
But I also have to admitt that im impressed and positive surprised about the athelicm and the SPort Side of WWE.
They have many good Wrestler there, even if they are not all huge and muscular.

@Sleepy87: I Agree with you, its an Art and its awesome what these Men and Women are showing ! I also saw the fight, it was awesome.

@Nick: I think its also different since they dont allow Steroids anymore. And I also think that Tim Wiese will need much time to be able to come in the Main roster. How long his way until than will be isnt important for me. Im just praying that he has enough abilitys to make some awesome fights..
