Online private and free game group?

I'm searching for a free site for gaming with multiple selected people. Any suggestions for a site where people can make a closed group of probably 5-7 people for gaming? The site should be free if that's possible.

I just want to invite a few people and only these people should be allowed to participate in the game. I found a lot of sites for poker. Do you know sites for other games? The game should be suitable for multiple people to play at the same time.
