I think I'm going to post here quite often... ;)
There are so many good songs, covered so many times through the decades. A good cover's preformer will bring something more to the song, making it his/her own...
First, PROUD MARY.
Most people know Proud Mary (Rollin' On The River) because of the 1971 cover by Tina & Ike Turner.
Yet, it was originally a Creedence Clearwater Revival song, written by John Fogerty & recorded in 1968, a "nice & easy" song: :) :up:



The next year (1969) Solomon Burk adapted it & made it his own. This cover might be less known, but it sounds real nice too :



And the nice & rough version by Ike & Tina Turner :



I love to listen to all these versions, depending on my mood....

Should I repost "Cocaine" by JJ Cale / Eric Clapton ? :P
