So I would like to what difficulties all of you experience with a non-asian woman/asian guy, such as traditions, language, etc. Any efforts to learn each others culture or language? Is it one sided? Or both take the effort to learn?

Yes, I like to learn culture, traditions, gastronomy and languages of some countries and put it into practice. Especially if it's the person I admire or really want..
Well, it all started with a friend that I admire with great respect for his creativity, wisdom..
He is Chinese and he makes an effort to learn spanish, english and I strive in my free time to learn chinese mandarin, russian in a short time I will have results..
We both strive to communicate.. Not in romance, rather in friendship, cultural-technological knowledge, natural reserves, gastronomic interest worldwide..

I'm here temporarily, but I'm not from here. While higher your frequency, higher will be your conscience.

relationship wise, i dont think its necessary to learn if there is a common language between 2 people eg english. but it does get you major brownie points if you can speak your partners native language when you meet their family.

Whoever find someone they like, they will usually like to learn their things, unless that person just want a hook-up.

I think that's the natural next step.

I started learning everything about Thailand (culture, traditions, history, politics, heroes, language etc) because I consider that not only it will allow me to be included easier in the family, have easier conversations with the elders but also because I think that our future children will want to explore their roots and it's our duty to pass on this beautiful legacy to them.

And yes my fiance is learning about my roots too <3
