Asian Rock and Punk music

Here's the place to talk about your favourite Asian Rock and Punk bands!

I'm always on the lookout for new music so it would be cool if you could either provide a youtube link or info on where to get the music LEGALLY.

I'll start by naming my favourite Chinese punk band: Joyside!


Unfortunately they disbanded last year but hopefully there'll be a reunion!!

THAT's shall be punk?? Sometimes I dont understand the world..

^ I don't know where your going with that but Flawless that band is good. Labeling just gives me a headache, it used to be funny on youtube thou.

How about we change it to Asian bands who rocks! (No visual kei or Kpop) Sorry visual kei lovers but you guys are already well known.

Where to get music legally? Now that's a bit tough. You might have to say more details about this. Is downloading albums from megaupload or mediafire illegal? soulseek? There are a lot of technicalities here.

I don't mind downloading since most of the time it's the only way for us Westerners to get any Asian music at all. But if there's a way to actually give the artist some money then I'm all for it!

there's a brand called MaruMusic that has been releasing some Japanese music in the US, they've got a website running, too. its all Visual Kei, so its not too diverse but...

Thee Michelle Gun Elephant from Japan, the band broke up in 2003 & I love them!

There are some german shops like Neotokyo or Grober Unfug.They can order almost everything.
And there are also some english shops like yesasia or cdjapan which offer worldwide shipping.
