No, China has only sent probs and rover. So far only 12 people have landed on the moon, and they were all done with the Apollo program.

...what I am saying is that China is not alone in its struggles with race and ethnicity. The US has a very long, bad history with how it treats minority groups, and the West is increasingly seeing an increase in Islamophobic attitudes. The ad is merely an example of the kind of racism that's too common around the world. You will find tonnes and tonnes of examples by simply looking up marketing ad campaigns around the world (past and present).

...scio me nescire

Let's not forget, only just 49 years ago it was not legal for people of different race to get married in 17 states. It's a fact that many people in the US still feels the same way about dating African Americans or male Asian Americans as the Chinese girl did in the commercial. Replace the Chinese girl with a white girl, and the Chinese guy with a white guy, and that video represents opinion of quite large portion of the western countries still. US and other western countries just have the political correctness of not incorporate that into a commercial. Yes, while not perfect, US has come far in terms of racial equality. But let's not assume that other countries can keep up the pace of social progress with the number 1 country in the world. To put in perspective, US landed on the moon in 1969, just a couple of years after interracial marriage was legalized across the country. China is not close to moon landing yet. Countries and societies progress at different rate.

sure US is the top 1 now and ever, but before that happened.history shown that US didn't made their way on top with "GPS". It was weapons that involves with black powder. I'm glad you feel proud and I hope you always will.

That's funny. I just reread your prior post and it doesn't seem like it was explaining racism in the world at all, but merely perpetuating it.

Been avoiding to reply to this thread but I can't withhold myself after seeing deductive comments like '...nothing new Asia is racist" :cheer:

Let's not forget China has been a country that has been 'closed' to the rest of the world during the Mao era. Compared to the West, there is less diversity (in terms of ethnicity) and very little history of intermingling with Africans until only a decade ago. A fair comparison would be the scientific racism of the West in the 1800s when Africans were enslaved and treated as subhumans. When you look at it that way...China isn't that bad, right?

So let's not be quick to judge; always consider the context. By the way, I find it interesting that all these 'racist' ads from Asia gets so much attention in the West, when the US and Europe are facing problems with the issue of dissatisfaction of the African American community with the status quo and the refugee crisis respectively. Deflecting attention away from the issue they're facing? Trying to use the Asians as a way of justifying their racism towards Africans by saying "see everyone hates you, so it's not wrong for us to hate you too"? I hate how they use Asians as the model minority and now as the perpetrator of racism.

It's more of a yellow wash, and I think the advert was meant to shock.

it's pretty hard to bleach a country that slaved certain group of race for decades , and says "oh look, we are the most respectful human being out of every others, just look at how well balanced our racial society is today.'' is a joke~

The liberals in the West have a guilty conscience regarding Blacks due to past oppression.

Han Chinese have never enslaved Blacks. We don't own them anything. This accusation of racism is nonsense.
