That's awesome dude. The same thing happens to my friend. Cats are supposed to be able to sense cat friendly people so maybe he/she could tell you would look after him/her.

Her names gina. I have he since her first seconds on earth. Her mother was my friends cat and so watched when she was born.

My cat is not pretty any more, her fur is felted, her meow has become loud and a bit shrill due to her being nearly deaf, but I love her as much as I have loved her the past 20 years. I hope she stays with us a little longer.
