Lol 6'2 average? More like 5'8 in Northern China.. I do agree that they're taller than the Southerners.
Plus the younger generation kids are much taller, closer to 5'10 average.

I've been to Beijing, Qingdao, Shenyang, and Shanghai.

I'd say about 5'8-10 is on spot

In my high school I was huge and only like a couple guys were 6ft2 in my year
So that's plain bull

I also seen them in youtube comment section as well. Whenever a white woman makes a video about how much she likes Asian guys but she have difficult time finding one who is tall enough because she's like 5ft9, there's always this "considerate" response from a Chinese guy who remind her that guys in "northern China" are taller with average 6ft to 6ft2 height. And those comments always ends with repliers giving out their(and every male members in their family) height measurement.

Mom: 164cm
Dad: 185cm
Me: 173cm

Mom: 175cm
Dad: 173cm
Me: 164cm

My dad: 5'8
My mom 5'1
Me: 4'11
My brothers: All 5'8 or taller.
My sisters: shortest is 5'2(still growing), the rest are 5'6
...I'm the shortest.
