i think that's one way to get the word out about asian men in case anybody else wants to do that as well. i made it relevant to the video by saying he should be invited on as a guest. that will get those women dreaming about him tonight.
I think that's a good idea. Where did you post it exactly?
the idea is to spread it out over many different youtube channels, all the ones you can think of that would be beneficial. i made sure to include the singer's name so women can google him. it's probably a good idea to include 2 singer's names, not just one. message boards with a lot of female users might be a good place to post, as well.
also, i sent the following message to Oprah's website because she handles social issues and educates her cable and internet audience about tolerance:
For two years now I have heard from Asian men all over the world, via the internet, describe how they have been treated with such cruelty and bullying when they move to, live in, or visit countries outside of Asia. They, oftentimes, suffer in silence because their culture teaches them to hold their peace and not fight back. The harsh treatment they receive from non-Asians affects their self-worth, and they are constantly being told by non-Asian men and women in Western countries, including the United States, that they are not real men because they are either considered too small in frame or too effeminate in appearance by Western standards. The "Korean Wave," which includes Korean pop music, is helping to change those views and has a huge female following worldwide. However, possibly because of long-standing stereotypes and very few Asian role models in Hollywood, the Western world at large does not include or celebrate them, and they often feel they have no voice.
that's the most info they would let me type because of a word/character limit, but i think it covers things pretty well. Oprah has also worked with an Asian-American journalist, Lisa Ling, on different topics, so maybe this might interest both of them. either way, it plants a seed in the minds of her producers, and they will be more aware of the issue.
i'm thinking of sending an email to Joyce Meyer about the little boy in China who has leukemia and needs funding for treatment: shanghaiist.com/2016...4/shi_luyao.php that might give her ideas to work closely with people like him and to also help him and his family.
since we have the internet at our fingertips, we can be proactive in trying to change things or bring awareness. preachers and public speakers always say everyone has a way to help others and they can do it by doing something in their small surroundings/town. well, along with our own neighborhoods, the internet is now our small surrounding.
we don't need to do several websites, it can be gradual. if we just happen to notice certain websites one week or several weeks from now that could use some info/enlightenment, then that would work as well. (i also did not try to be persuasive in my post about the male singer. instead, i was like, this guy is hot. the more truthful the message, the more people will be interested or curious, instead of feeling as though they are being forced to notice something.)
*i'm sorry if my email example is not good or offends any men here or is not worded well. i tried to explain things.
