I think ladies are doing those dudes a huge favor by just blocking them or ignoring them if they don't get the hint and keep trying to get you to somehow like them. haha
They have to learn to move on with their lives....

They act sad and try to guilt me into feeling like the bad guy in that situation, and I just end up getting frustrated with that. Does this happen to anyone else? Ladies? Men? Any experience or explanations? I'm just curious
It happens a lot actually, most of the time with women. It only gets worse when they ask for nude pictures. Block them if they start saying the following:
1: I thought you liked me/don't you like me anymore?...
2: Come on, I'm a great guy.
And 3: Why do you jump to conclusions?
Trust me this will save you a lot of unwanted time and energy being wasted.

Here's just an example of a conversation I had with a guy who's actually a HA member, he messaged me wanting to be friends and heard that I am a dancer...so he sent me this. I probably sound stupid and helpless in this but I seriously didn't know what to type bc I didn't want to be an a-hole either

Unless you're the one who's stringing them along to affirm your ego, you don't owe them anything and you should be straight and firm with them cos the only fair thing you can give them is your honesty. Obviously don't go overboard - guy's egos can be fragile and I can see how that would be hard, but you can't please everyone plus they're adult men who are responsible for their own emotional reactions - not you.
The moment you know deep down that they're into you and you're not into them, then to keep talking or seeing them would be stringing them along. You're doing the right thing by them, by being upfront and then standing your ground.

Oh honey, you weren't in the wrong. If it made you feel uncomfortable, then he's not worth it.
