Yesterday, I cooked for dinner some butternut squash gratin with cream, blue cheese, pecan nuts & chicken.



Made on a previous day:
I think I improved my Quiche lorraine.
Now I can make it from scratch, even the pâte brisée dough (guess it's shortcrust dough, in English... Anyway, it's made with flour, butter & a bit of water, in case anyone knows the proper name). The premade industrial dough that I used for my very first quiche didn't bake so well & remained undercooked at the bottom. My own dough was so much better, tough I'm really not any expert at all in cooking / baking.
Some people here know me by now: I do not claim any skill or talent whatsoever. Yet, even an untalented average guy like me can make a better pâte brisée than any dough from the supermarket.
My point: DON'T BUY INDUSTRIAL pre-made DOUGH for your pies.
