potential partner's living quarters was created by sestovnai
When seeing a potential partner's apartment/house/or parents basement (nothing wrong with living with your parents) for the first time, what do you do you look for (red flags)? cleanliness? decor? brand of his or her furniture? dirty bathroom?

For me, I look for any dead bodies, and if her living and restroom areas are clean and tidy. How a woman keeps up her restroom says a lot about
how she lives.

I look for reasonable amount of cleanliness but it doesnt have to be extreme..For example..No garbage or food stuff laying around..That theres not stuff thrown everywhere like clothes and other things..To be clean at least where it looks tidy.doesnt have to be the bare minimum though..just depends really..im not a clean freak..my house isnt perfect but i dont have garbage laying everywhere..My house is clean but to an extent..As i have a kid that can mess a room in 5 minutes, its hard to have every room cleaned how i want it..

My gf's place can be a bit of a mess at times with her being a single parent and having two dogs that are very untrained for the most part, so I take it for what it is. It is tidy where it needs to be and at least she maintains herself, which is probably more important. She works a lot and barely has time to clean, so whenever I'm there I make sure to help her out. Really all that really matters is her, I'm not a neat freak by any means so it doesn't really bother me. She always apologizes for the mess, but I always reassure her that I'd live in filth with her :lol:

Thats good that your understanding of the situation..i am also a single mom..Thankfully no dogs..I have a cat and two kids, only one kid lives with me currently..hes 3..more than enough for me..lol..he makes extra work..from crushed eggs, spilled milk,diaper contents on the floor..so moms have their hands full..At least she has a loving guy like you to help her out..I hope to find a guy that can be understanding to and not just seeing being with me as a "death sentence"because i have kids..

I am good with kids cause I grew up with my mom babysitting my younger cousins so I helped her out. My gf only has one kid who is 7 now, although she's not a toddler anymore, she can still act out sometimes. I've only seen my gf twice in person now since we are in a ldr, so it will take some time for me to get comfortable with her daughter/her to be comfortable with me

I usually look at the energy signature of the place;
by looking at first, the plants, and then the placement of the house or apartment.
The plants will show the "chi" level if the ground is giving off energy or taking it.
The signature will tell a lot about the person(s) living there as well. :up:

Damn brotha, you put a lot of thought into this. I’m going to look into this on a clear and sober mindset.

Wow thats really detailed.My house would probably fail a feng shui look..All i know is that when everyone comes to my house,they feel good,relaxed and usually want to stay,My house can be a bit chaotic at times though due to me having a 3 year old that likes to mess things up..But its interesting how those charts look.I wouldnt mind learning more about how that works.Native americans have a similar system..Which i am a small percentage of..They also look at how each room is placed and which direction and such..

I lived alone for almost all of my adult years - save maybe a total of 6 months...Now, for the last 6 months, i am in a house shared by 4 roommates. This situation not only hammers home why I cannot date American men (white and black roommates), but it also makes me question being married AT ALL. The men, even the gay one, think I am their mom and servant.... .
If an adult, especially over 30, doesn't own any cleaning supplies or not enough to clean well enough, I don't think you should live with them - regardless of sex/gender or age.
I HAVE to have clean and even fairly sparse living quarters.My last BF was white and while his house was very clean, he had many knickknacks that he treasured and i knew right away I could never marry him. I'd refuse to clean knickknacks or to clean around them.
My 2 Asian BFs had very sparse, very clean apartments, and their place always felt a bit like an oasis - serene and welcoming. Granted, neither cooked or did their own laundry or cleaning (they had a maid service for that).
I HAVE to have things clean - but, I am bit afraid of having to clean up after someone else. I may not be marriage material. I'd never marry a slob, FOR SURE. A man who piddles on the toilet seat or around the toilet is not for me. My roommate did that (he occasionally gets drunk) and I raised hell with the landlord and now he is in a bedroom and bathroom on the other side of the house.
