My government think " the virus can mutated in a good person and maybe the curve never happen"--- the quarantine is between 10:00 PM at 5 :00 AM.
But all day ppl have to go to work...

It takes some days or even a few weeks before the effects can even be seen & curve get flattened.
Sad reality is that France is no longer a well off country. In ordinary days, ER & reanimation services in hospitals are already saturated, with doctors & nurses overworking for an underpay. Not enough beds for patients. This epidemia is going to overwhelm the whole health care facilities here in no time. Medics fear they will have to pick which patients to cure.

Very early, there was a shortage of masks, hydro alcoholic gel & not even enough tests. Hence, we don't even know for sure how many people are really inflected. Effectives measures (production or purchase of material mentioned above) were not taken in due time. That's why government eventually took the decision to quarantine the whole population.
In South Korea, at least they tested people at a large scale, isolated those who were in contact with someone who had symptoms and managed to avoid massive population lock down.
@ Everyone:
WASH YOUR HANDS often, at least every time you touched anything dirty.
Cough or sneeze in your elbow or a cloth.
Stay away from each other.

Taking a walk outside is still allowed, if you avoid other people. Supermarkets are open, but many shelves are empty. Most people are allowed to work, while businesses are scrambling to support home-office solutions.
Families with young children in small city apartments have a very difficult job right now (playgrounds are closed).
We're still at the beginning of this.
Health care agencies are slow to accept help from trained healthcare professionals who are not currently work in the sector but want to help. Agencies and businesses really need to learn to think outside the box.
Personally, I'm lucky that my company provides us with adequate notebooks, headsets, the possibility to access documents remotely. Some things can't be done remotely, though.
When at home, I take the time to drink a cup of tea on the little balcony. It's pretty cold outside, but soaking up some sunlight and fresh air is essential. Consumption of comedy/satire shows has increased :>
I message and call my friends more than usual, to share stories and keep each other company.
If you know somebody who isn't taking the situation seriously yet, talk to them. Things suck, but being "overly" cautious can save lives!
Take care of yourselves, everyone!
