Following the protocols by the authorities, taking precautions and applying sanitary measures is vital for their survival, this is serious, it is not a game. I think some exaggerate  and they abuse the shelves of products, especially those of toilet paper. I've seen that even presentable-looking people steal toilet paper from shopping center bathrooms, even from fast food franchises.

Regardless of the person acting impulsively out of fear or confusion in selling business, business actions without reflection, without remaining calm in the face of the seriousness of the current problem, it is not part of a solution.
Verbal, physical attitudes and acts of discrimination or racism towards Chinese or Korean looking Asians and others cultures do not help at all, only increase violence and irrationality. Where is the integration and brotherhood between nations.
I think it is a Scary Movie 2020.

Fine, if you want to compare covid-19 with hiv, which is better known as a sexually transmitted virus. Even though covid-19 is not well known for its sexual transmitability, it can certainly be transmitted during sex. Simple touching and kissing someone with this virus expose yourself to it.

In 2018, the number of deaths from hiv is 770,000, according to WHO. This is about half a century after its first known outbreak. Comparing with our current world wide deaths from covid-19, which is about 20,000 and 4 months into it, HIV still seems more serious? Yet, nothing seems to stop people from having unprotected sex. And no one is addressing where HIV originates, today.

Why would it even remotely matter, unless you want to leverage a virus for political or other forms of gains over a group of people?

I appreciate you writing the current infection and death figures, as well as he has written current diseases with unpredictable official death figures that continue to claim lives in various nations of the world such as Heart Diseases, Cancer, H1N1, "Spanish Flu" of 1918 and finally Covid-19. Covid-19 is more serious because people living with HIV can also easily contract it due to their fragile immune system, due to quarantine and movement restrictions decreed in various countries of the world, some are at risk of running out of antiretrovirals treatment through from CD4 cell-based to reduce the developing effects towards HIV for the following days, months.

I can see where you are coming from as far as the immune system deficiency of the hiv hosts, but I don't agree with the logic behind covid-19 is more serious. Wouldn't that make all other virus and bacteria more serious than HIV, since the undermined immune system by hiv makes the patient more vulnerable to anything, including cancer, too? But you can't just say hiv is less serious than all other virus, bacteria and cancer.

In fact, the interactions of these diseases are not well understood at the current level of medicine and science. For example, some virus is known for the ability to attack tumor cells and bacteria. So, it's way too complicated to factor in the combinations of these diseases to reach any meaningful conclusions.

The panic literally kills more than the virus itself.
