I know Tempo was joking but to be brutally honest. I'm not sure that you were joking. Are you being sincere that you think I was being serious about vegans having hateful attitudes towards veggies? I meant it as a joke. A dark pun saying vegans have prejudice against plants. So don't try to stir up a petty fight with me like you done in the last few pages here on Alina and her friend. FYI I LIKE vegans as they are gentle in heart. I know they see plants and not animals, as food since plants feel no pain. And not because they feel a hostility toward them.
I was merely stating the entire definition of vegans and meat is purely sociology. Not on strict hard science - biology. ie Plants have dna, SOME have moving sperm, are alive yet their flesh aren't meat. Eggs that are made of chicken dna, are deemed as non-meats. I was pointing out that the question that OP asked was more a sociology question, not hard biology. No need to be so nasty towards me over that.
If you were anyone else - i would think your comment was a friendly dig at me. However you seem to have bitter beef with people in the last pages and that would now seem to include me. Whatever hurt I did in the past to you, I do apologize. I may not like you but I also have no interest in wanting to fight with you non stop. I'm really not on this site for you.
Actually plants give off ultrasonic noises in response to stress and pleasure.

dogface9 wrote: Just realised we tend to romanticise the feeling of love and make it seem so spiritual. Like it's magic. However that actual feeling of "love" can be bluntly described as nothing more than firing neurochemicals in the brain that makes us want to breed. It hits hard at first but fades over time and maybe the biological reason why so many marriages fail because the neurochem spark or magic gets inevitably lost along the way. That's not really a question but a fact.
The only chemical that can realistically go long term is Oxytocin which is that attachment you typically have with friends or close family. Is it even possible to have a happy marriage when there is no sex or a lot less of it over time, but just friends with your spouse.
#Friends without benefits. lol
Seems like humans are bio destined for relatively sexless marriages. Yay!
Hmm... Some have stronger desires, urges than others.

Maybe there is this undiscovered plant's neuro-physiological capacity for a conscious awareness of pain that s cientists have not learnt yet. So far, we had never came across that finding. And what u show, doesn't prove it. It's flawed to jump to that conclusion as inbuilt reaction doesn't necessarily equate to them being sentient.

Read the links below and don't blindly believe in every sensational scientist trying to cheaply get a name by misleading the public. They have been overwhlemingly debunked yet every year, readers talk about it as if it's been proven legit.

Instead the current research and what u show, shows that plants are incapable of feeling pain like we do because they have no nervous system, pain receptors or a brain. Simply reacting to a stimuli isn't EVEN definite proof they feel pain. How can it be? One don't even need a sentient mind or any pain receptors to be able to do that. Just inbuilt chemical systems that can function without an intelligent mamallian brain.
And more importantly, hypotheticallly let's just say you are right that they scream as they have feelings. What's even the point of them feeling pain like we do? They cannot run away if someone munches on them.. It's an utterly useless function. They only do it to warn other plants and no need to endure the cruel useless pain to do so. We feel pain because we can actually take our hand away from the stove hence USEFUL. They don't have a brain like humans, so they are not self aware or able to feel pain as far as we know. All evidence seem to suggest that plants are not sentient.
.
www.sciencenews.org/...gist-argues/ampSome plants are capable of sophisticated behavior. Wounded leaves can send warning signals to other parts of the plant, and noxious chemicals can deter munching predators. Some plants may even have a version of short-term memory: Tiny sensing hairs that line Venus flytraps’ insect prisons can count the touches that come from a bumbling insect (SN Online: 1/24/16). But plants perform these feats with equipment that’s very different from the nervous systems of animals, no brain required, Taiz contends.
He and colleagues point out methodological flaws in some of the studies that claim plants have brainlike command centers, animal-like nerve cells and oscillating patterns of electricity that are reminiscent of activity in animal brains. But beyond the debate over how these studies are conducted, Taiz’s team argues that plant consciousness doesn’t even make sense from an evolutionary point of view.
You confuse communication with pain. Plants do communicate to each other by signalling. It's evolution as they need other plants to tell them of the situation and they use such communication to help co-ordinate each other. They're nothing more than inbuilt reactions that don't require pain receptors or a brain aka plant sentient consciousness to do so.

@San Ichiban thank you for showing your real face

@Sun_King you're the worst from all, you're butthurt for being readzoned by me and you saw your chance to attack my friend without any simple reason just because of your jealousy, calling me a cunt behind my back shows to every female on this site what an douchebag you are, but idc about you it just bothered me that you brought kmaccron in this argument
@other girls (especially Mari) y'all should learn to care about your own business instead of enjoying to bully other people who have a problem with your online friend who's the main character of creating problems on this site

Ok, I first of all, you're spelling my name with one of the letters legit flipped upside down.
And I actually just served a joke on a platter to you and you've managed to turn it into some posturing argument. In other words, it's just a joke lol. As I mentioned in one of our previous discussions, assumptions are a funny thing.
