I went to a couple's therapist with my ex. She was ogling over him, which was a red flag that she sucked as a couple's therapist. She *concern face* insinuated that I was going to try to baby trap my ex even though I had stated before that I'm not planning to have a kid anytime soon. I was very annoyed.

It was years ago, but I think I said that it might help him to communicate better. He wasn't really into it though. I think he gave 5 words or less answers to almost everything she asked haha
Unfortunate that I picked her. I should have picked Emotion Focused Therapy modality instead of Imago or whatever she does.

Anyway, in the end it's a balancing act of hoping that your SO might come around to being interested in working together to improve the relationship, but accepting that they may not and deciding what to do from there.
