Mandarin is the most spoken language in the world.
But I've heard Korean is easier to grasp than the other two.

which country are you interested in the most? why? will you want to visit? live there? work there? makes friends there? like the culture? etc.
im sure everyone has preferences.
because what are you gonna do with the language, if youll never use it irl and only learned it because it was “easy”? any language will be easy to learn if thats truly the language you wanna learn and you put in your blood, swear and tears. (no kpop pun!)

Well, up until you start learning Kanji. Good luck after that.

Someone said that you should make your decision based in your interest in those countries, so may I add that you can also take into consideration your career and job prospects

San_Ichiban wrote: kanji isnt that hard if you learn them in the right order from little to many strokes. also, most kanji in themselves tell a story and that makes them easier to memorize. looking for radicals is another way why it can be “easy”.

Yeah so from my experience, Japanese pronunciation is really easy, hiragana and katakana aren't too hard, but kanji is tricky. The grammar isn't that hard honestly, I don't get why people go on and on about grammar. Just because it's different from English or other European languages doesn't mean it's ~so hard~. But maybe that's just me. Korean has the same grammar setup basically, so I don't think it's that hard, plus hangeul is the easiest thing you will ever learn in your entire life. But, the pronunciation can be hard. Now I've never self-studied Chinese or taken Chinese classes, but to me the tones seem really difficult to master, plus some tricky pronunciation on top of that, and you have to memorize every single character (no alphabet or syllabary - oh my!). But people say the grammar is pretty basic and easy. So I guess there's pros and cons for each language.
Really, you have to pick the one(s) that interests you the most. If you're not interested in it, you won't learn it, no matter how "easy" it is. And being passionate about something makes it easy to do!
