I think it depends on what they are doing for work..My sons help with garden work and normal chores as well.I dont force them to work though..If its forced labor that is hard? I dont think its very good for a kid..Really depends..I know some monks train kids at a young age to work hard..Even if the kids cry, they still try and push them to their full potential..Ignoring emotions..

I think what OP was originally suggesting is men who work in early childhood education/care, not actual early child labor.
