I noticed I gained a little bit of weight around my waist area. After work I'm so tired I don't have any motivation to do sports

What kind of sports do you like to do?

If you have an activity that you really enjoy your will be more inclined to do it (having something to look forward to rather than "eugh I gotta do this").

If you already do enjoy it but still feel you don't have the energy to engage in it after work, depending on what it is you could try putting some time in before work or on weekends.

If you still are tired assessing at other areas of your life and how they could be impacting your energy levels could be beneficial (general health and nutrition, sleep hygiene, stressors).

Start walking, then find something you think you will enjoy.

By doing sports you probably have some kind of purpose, whether it's a fun time activity, losing weight, gaining muscle mass, or just getting fit again.
I recommend making a fixed schedule for the days you wanna do sports. For me, I chose to train 4 days per week: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
It's very important to stick to your plan and keep the momentum going. So even if it rains/snows or when you have an unplanned meeting or any other inconvenience you have to do sports on that day.

I've been doing this for over 2 months now and I can already see some results. Just be patient and stick to your plan :D

For the motivation, how about a workout partner? or personal trainer? or even a sports club? Social interaction can help with you getting some energies.

Diet is the most important factor for the weight gain. You will lose weight if your energy out is more than energy in. It's much easier to control your energy in than trying spend the energy you take in (ie working out). For example, I weight 75kg and I burn around 400 calories from running 7km. All the calories spent will be all gone if I just have a cup of Starbucks grande Pumpkin Spice Latte.

Whatever you do, diet control or working out , it has to be sustainable in order to see any meaningful effect.
