are we listing things we know to cook? heh... well i work as a professional cook so a fair bit... i love cooking though and always just freestyle stuff at work it's damn fun. kudos to all home cooks out there who enjoy the art, and that understand how difficult it is to produce good consistent food quickly, especially in a restaurant environment! i love cooking all sorts of food and usually get pretty creative when I'm treating myself. some buddies from work and i often just go out, buy some groceries and whip up some huge meals after smoking a nice fat... not-weed and just dig in. i am sick and tired of pumping out pastas so pastas are def. not something i enjoy making anymore... lol at work i often have to make curries, different kinds of pasta, stirfries and several appies and veg, sauces (i am saucier... so all that the station encompasses). i enjoy grilling fish and vegetables (to provide it with that smoky char) and with a sauce with it, depends what i''m in the mood for. at work we often use sablefish (also known as black cod) and it goes pretty well with the tang of the flavour of coconut, so i like using coconut cream with hash potatoes, basil oil and the like to mix all the flavours together, plus the natural oils of the fish that get into the sauce is pretty damn good and i'll often sautee vegetables as well as grill them to make a nice bed.

my favourite things to cook are typical north american fare, but i dabble in a bit of everything... i used to work as a baker as well but i do prefer cooking over baking... baking is a very different kind of time constraint but also very fun to try and micromanage... i did NOT like getting up at 5am though... or working through the night... 11pm - 7am... being a baker i mean, as a cook i work usually until 1am -ish from lunch service to close?

anyone whose into cooking pls msg me; i've been working as a cook for the last 4 years or so but have been in kitchens since i was 16 (was a baker from 18-20) so not always a cook per se, but in kitchens in general. so about 6 years almost 7 of experience generally speaking? not a lot but it's useable. i've just quit my job the other day and starting work in another restaurant next week and i'm friggin stoked; my new chef is really really traditional, is indian by descent and therefore has indian influence in all the dishes he produces, and gives us some creative control so it's going to be sah-weeeeettt =D

spaghettii, yakisoba (I prefer 'Edo Japan''s still, but I tried anyway), fried rice....um, oh....rolocucan? I can't spell it...but it's a mennonite snack.
....I can bake cookies, but sometimes they don't turn out that wonderful.....
I tried making sushi once, it wasn't so bad...

the rest, well....packaged food? LOL. I'm not a cook per say...maybe if I tried I could.
