It's not important. :) German people are able to talk in engish with you.. so no. :)
You don't need to speak in german but if you want to learn german, ask us. :)

I think it would be helpful but not absolutely necessary.

Many young people manage to speak English, especially in larger cities with many tourists visiting. It might not be perfect but they can communicate.

(Note: This is only based on my experience and there are things I might not notice as a German native speaker who.. rarely communicates in English when going out everyday.)

I want to visit Germany so bad. See everything and do everything that is possible! I have a friend that I work with who is German and the way he describes his country makes me really want to visit. I cannot wait :)
