moderation style at Hey-Ai?

I really think that the mod wanted to create an environment that is welcoming for newcomers, not a clique that someone would try really hard to fit into. And of course, preventing the risk of flaming. It doesn't take much for someone to disagree with your list and start bashing on names. While you are level headed with your conversations, you cannot speak for those that are on your list.

Anywho, this is probably the longest post i've made in a while. Not sure why I thought i'd involve myself. Not the first time i've gotten myself into trouble.

I can imagine myself walking in the sunset,
holding hands and smiling. Hearing the crash of
the waves as a gentle breeze flows through my
body and hair. Walking miles and miles, while
the moon rises high into the sky. The whole

And if we're talking about preventing potential forest fires and creating a nice environment, I don't see how the "Rate user based on looks" threads are ever safe. People either rate highly to be nice, or rate honestly and hurt others' feelings/crush egos.

I actually don't have much of an opinion when it comes to moderation, but if there is any at all, shouldn't it be uniform across the board?

I agree that mods should wear uniforms. Should they be Hooter-esque uniforms or more Police-like?

first thing i imagined, when i read his topic was, that "Hey, i'm going to create my own site/social app/whatever....and here's my list of ppl i would invite to join me there"-underlying message. i've seen that op creating apps and sites and advertising them in here many times, so i guess it was a step the mods decided to take upon his "what users you gonna have in your forum"-thread in order to prevent such member-steal-kinda-thing. A Look at his profile and you can see him discussing html and css codes. In his signature he is advertising his vietnamese app and linking to his manganize me site that he also advertised at the boards here. Have a look at the right, which states under Forum Rules: "No advertising". So while advertising s site for manga pictures is not interfering with this site's subject, a dedicated site for amwf actually is. So i don't think it was about possible flaming-shiat, but more about this smell of user-stealing. Kinda preventive action.

Maybe mods can explain it further.
